Leather Colourant for Land Rover Upholstery | Furniture Clinic Leather Colourant | 250 ml
The Leather Colourant for Land Rover upholstery, from Furniture Clinic, is a durable, water-based polyurethane dye, perfect for all types of leather restoration and recoloring of leather and hide. This dye offers unique flexibility and excellent resistance to scratches and marks. The restored leather looks and feels like new, and it will never crack or fade.
Note: For best results, seal the leather dye with Furniture Clinic Leather Finish. The finish enhances durability and provides a smooth surface with your choice of gloss level, from matte to shiny. Without the finish, the dye results in a rough, rubbery, and glossy surface that may feel sticky on some materials.
Furniture Clinic has developed many of the leather colors used in Land Rover interiors. Estimated usage for a full car interior (front seats + backseat): 200–500 ml.

How Do I Recolor My Upholstery?
- Thorough Cleaning: This is done in three steps to remove all dirt from the upholstery:
- Step 1: Perform a standard cleaning with Ultra Clean Leather Cleaner.
- Step 2: Use Leather Prep to remove as much of the original leather dye's surface layer as possible.
- Step 3: Use Alcohol Cleaner to eliminate old dye residues and silicone.
After this process, the leather will be prepared to allow the new leather dye to penetrate, adhere, and form a solid base.
- Applying the Dye:
- The first coat of leather dye should be applied with a sponge.
- For a smoother surface, additional coats should be sprayed on, although sponging on multiple coats is also possible.
- Sealing the Finish:
- Apply Leather Finish (available in Gloss, Matte, Semi-Matte, and Satin) in a couple of layers. The finish provides a protective and durable surface for the leather.
When finished, the surface will be so strong that it is nearly impossible to scratch the leather.
How Long Does It Last?
When applied correctly, the recoloring is as durable as the original color on new leather. This has been tested according to British and European standards. The exact longevity depends on how much use and wear the product undergoes, but we confidently say that the finish will last as long as your leather upholstery originally did. For example, if your upholstery lasted five years before needing restoration, you can expect the recolored finish to last an additional five years.
